The sequence is the same idea on a two-car bay and a shop. The mix, the mils, and the clock change with the system.

Look at the slab first

We measure the bay, map cracks, and note the overhead-door gap. We check for a prior coat, a sealer, or a paint film. A plastic-sheet test or a meter reading tells us if vapor is in play. We talk flake, metallic, or a solid color only after that look. The quote lists prep, repair, and the system as separate lines so you can see what you are buying.

Grind and repair the concrete

Diamond cup wheels cut through laitance and open a profile. We vacuum the dust as we go. Control joints get a flexible fill. Spalls get a patch that will take the primer. If an old kit is failing, it comes off in this step, not under a new roll. We do not skip the grind because the slab looks clean.

Coat, broadcast, and lock

Primer goes down on the open concrete. The body coat follows in the mil range the system needs. Full-broadcast flake is walked in to rejection on most house jobs. Metallic is poured and worked as a self-leveling film. We keep spike shoes, rollers, and squeegees to the mix in the bucket. Pot life is short in a Meridian July.

Topcoat and return the bay

A clear polyaspartic or urethane wear coat locks the flake or the metallic. We add a slip texture at the door if you asked for it. Cars stay out until the system reaches the return window on the data sheet. Most flake jobs run two days. Fast polyaspartic return can shrink when temperature and dew point allow.
